My Journey with Clay

I stumbled into pottery kind of by accident. Took a class on a whim, and before I knew it I was hooked. Now I can't imagine my days without it.

There's something special about turning a lump of clay into something you can actually use. The wheel spinning, cool clay between my fingers, opening the kiln to see how things turned out – it just doesn't get old.

Each piece I create carries intention. Whether it's a mug that will hold your morning coffee or a bowl for your favorite recipe, I want my pottery to become part of your daily rituals and bring a moment of joy to the ordinary.

My Process

Every piece goes through a careful journey from raw clay to finished art.

01

Wedging & Centering

The clay is carefully prepared and centered on the wheel, setting the foundation for each piece.

02

Throwing & Shaping

Using traditional techniques, I shape each piece by hand, ensuring every curve is intentional.

03

Drying & Trimming

Pieces dry slowly to prevent cracking, then are trimmed and refined to their final form.

04

Bisque Firing

The first firing hardens the clay, preparing it for glazing and final decoration.

05

Glazing

Each piece is hand-dipped or brushed with carefully selected food-safe glazes.

06

Final Firing

The glaze firing transforms the piece, revealing its final colors and character.
